Project: Typography

BlueSky Graphics Coursework

THE BRIEF
Create a poster for Flow Tate Gallery celebrating its 20th anniversary.

THE CONCEPT

I created a poster highlighting the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Flow Tate Gallery by using a classic style of typography that has no colours, only black and white as instructed in the brief.

THE PROCESS

The poster in black was created by using a very simple typography style, I used a gallery image for the background, added a solid black colour adjustment layer, reduced the opacity to add an overlay effect and used shapes in combination with the type tool.

On the other hand, I created the white background poster highlighting the 20th anniversary of the gallery, I used a combination of clipping masks to add texture to the text and created a pattern with festive icons.

I mainly used Photoshop to create these two posters.

TYPOGRAPHY

I used a range of different methods to create these typography designs from clipping masks, layer masks, and blend tool to 3D design.
